This course primarily focuses on the Science of Tajweed and its importance. It teaches the rules of proper, beautiful and melodious recitation of the Quran in the simplest manner. It focuses on various rules of Tajweed, including the rules of Noon Sakina, Tanween and Meem Sakina along with the rules of the other letters and their characteristics, Mudood and places of stops.
The Live Session involves a Lecture by the instructor followed by a Question and Answer Session. In each session, students will be picked to recite some of the verses from the Quran, which are in line with the topic. Each week, study material will be uploaded in the form of a PDF file.

Ismath Qayam is a Student of Knowledge learning various sciences of Islamic Education at IOU through BAIS Program. Prior to joining IOU, she completed a one-year course of Tajweed from Preston University, Ajman.
Ismath is pursuing Hifz of the Quran and has obtained a Shahada for 29 and 30 Juz. She has done her B.Sc from Osmania University and has completed a 3-year GNIIT program on Computer Software at NIIT.
She alsosecured distinction at Tajweed Level 1 and Tajweed Level 2 programs at Islamic Online University.
